Sam is a writer, a professor, and an improviser…
I’m other things too. A father. A husband. Dashingly handsome. Extremely short. Mostly, I’m another person trying to make his way in an enormous, complicated universe.
I was born in 1980 in St. Paul, Minnesota. I taught high school English and drama for nearly 15 years before accepting a position as a professor of literacy education in the Penn State system. Currently, I live in State College, PA.
I’m available to give readings, facilitate improv workshops, and muse about the workings of the universe. Please check out my creative and academic writing in the portfolio. Or read my blog. Or reach out. I’m easy to find.
